Waiting for 2025 Colorado draw results

Well that was unexpected. I drew antelope as a non-res with 5 points but Onx Research Tools said I had 0% odds unless I had ~20 points. Hybrid draw I'm guessing?
Someone likely burned a ton of points last year and messed up the one tag odds, or similar, and everyone else dropped out this year. I have not seen any hybrid tags get to nonresidents since the blanket quota for pronghorn was instituted because the overall nonresident quota is always filled with point holders.

A CO resident buddy and I (as a NR) both drew our pronghorn tags in the same unit. At least that worked out for me this year. Looking forward to hunting Colorado's highest-dwelling pronghorn antelope herd!
I saw some in the flattops at around 12k feet. I had to take a second look because I thought I was hallucinating from the packout! ;)

I was curious about the numbers all morning but figured I'll just wait for the draw recap and start my escouting 😂

Collectively, we cashed in 31 points. Not sure of the South Park trophy potential, but I care less about that stuff as I age. It should be a great time in a really neat place to chase antelope. I'll make sure to start a thread when October arrives.
Will be following along as well, that’s where I’m building points at as I’ve got some property out that way. Best of luck!

Doe pronghorn tag secured. That is 3 for 3 this year on snagging tags as second choices with buying a preference point as the first choice.

Update: doing the math, this tag overlaps with the first rifle season for a Wyoming cow elk rifle tag. Probably be putting it back into the mixer for y'all/
HOW? I never get anything second choice :(

I did however get cow elk ranching for wildlife so I guess I shouldn't complain too hard

What an absurd reaction. The best thing a dad or a friend can do with similar point levels like y’all is each one carry a tag one year and help the other the other year. Two fun hunts and the guy who has tag the second year goes in with a real advantage of experience. Trying to whack two deer same year with our short colo seasons is often a mistake and a stressful effort unless any forkie is sufficient.

You are behind in points. No guarantee, or data to disprove till recap is posted, you will not be behind next year and sink the two of you when you decide to “not be a dum ass” in your words and put in as a party so both y’all will be sitting at home instead of hunting.

Dad, take the kid hunting and focus on him and his success.
Wish it was that simple. I live in California. A hunt in Colorado is not a quick jaunt, it's a big deal. It involves a fair amount of money, a week off work for my son and me, a 14 hour drive each way, and smoothing over the time away with both our wives. It just not something I can do every year. Wish I could. Thats why I really wanted for both of us to hunt together.
However, been thinking about what you and others have said about the point creep and the fact that even though I seemed to be "just a point away" this year, I may still not draw the tag again next year. How soon will they put out the draw recap from this year? Is it before the deadline to turn a tag in for this season?

It'll be before the deadline to turn a tag in.

And pulled down already because of errors. lol
Yeah, I looked at the pronghorn report before it got yanked. The summary page showed one resident applied with 37 points and didn't get drawn...

Was wondering how that happened...

On the flip side, if it was correct, 16 people applied at my point level and unit, and 15 got the tag.
Everyone except me, lol.
