...not a fan of life imitating art, or vice versa.I don’t know about Hollywood. Do you think they’re cool?
Well… life does tend to imitate art...not a fan of life imitating art, or vice versa.
Sorry, it was a reference to the attitude in the 80s that a raped girl asked for it depending on her makeup/ attire. Some of us haven't grown much as men since then apparently.Probably, so do a lot of others.
We got some pretty good slam poetry from Hegseth
A couple months ago I had to go pick my wife up from the Billings airport and I was early so I was sitting at the bar at the 406 taphouse or whatever the place is on 27th closest to the airport.
Turns out the guy that was sitting next to me was some bigwig in the South Dakota Democratic Party and was a big part of her former opponents campaign. He had drank about five too many stiff drinks and was just going off about her. I probably don’t agree with that guy too much politically but holy shit was he funny and had absolutely nothing nice or appropriate, come to think of it- probably career ending for him if I had been recoding. But holy shit it was funny and ruthless.

We need to form a Public Lands Industrial Complex.Rough annual budgets:
- USFS 8.9 Billion
- BLM 1.6 Billion
- NPS 2.6 Billion
- USFWS 1.9 Billion
15-16 Billion total.
The war in Iran is costing about 1 billion a day. We are about 7 billion in so far. That’s not including the downstream economic costs we are currently in incurring and will yet incur. The money spent in two weeks of this could fund public lands for a year.
Just something to remember when they whinge and quibble over public land costs and entertain selling them in the spirit of saving money. Whether one agrees with the need to take action against Iran or not, politicians always seem to be able to find money for war, their budget concerns never juxtaposed against the net-utility of other things they claim are at risk - even those things nearly all Americans agree are universally good.
