US and Israel attack Iran

This is my thought. You have countries around there with similar beliefs to the actual people. No proof but I think there is a plan that hasn't been shared. As for the nuclear capabilities being wiped out last year. IDK. My guess we got most of it. But they were rebuilding or working toward that. In any case they had intent to harm the US and Israel. That I don't think is a debate. So waiting till they had everything they needed to do so and a contingency plan seams like a bad idea. That's ignoring the killing of its own citizens by the thousands

The only way Iran winds up being run by a less oppressive regime is a long-term occupation by US forces ensuring free and fair elections and that opposition candidates aren't murdered by the hardliners that run the revolutionary guard. I haven't heard anyone in the admin say that is even a consideration. Although it would be ironic, if they decided to occupy Iran to ensure free and fair elections there while trying to eliminate them here.

True, but not entirely. We are very unlikely to allow free and fair elections, if there is much prospect that they won't go the way we prefer. We are more likely to install a government that is more friendly to the US and Israel. That government will need to continually put down dissent.

The way I understood it was that if Israel was going to go that Iran would retaliate against everyone. Us included. By diminishing there capabilities we would reduce the risk

I haven't seen a strong argument in response. Its to early to tell IMO. This article seams to spell it out. In which case Trump hasn't exceeded the time line yet as I read it.

Speculation at best. And if they had retaliated against the US, we would have had the justification and support to hit them back hard from allies and more americans than we have now.

A lot of things don't make sense in the administrations actions.

Keep coming back to the thought that Israel has Trump by the balls on something.

Go read Article 1 of the Constitution.

All of the police actions, etc. since the last declaration of war in 1942 are unconstitutional. Congress needs to stand up to all presidents to reinforce it’s constitutional rights.

If the president needs the power of war, change the constitution. Otherwise, the president needs approval of congress for military actions.

Yep. It will take bi-partisan effort. The lines are drawn to deep with both sides hesitating to cross the isle and not trusting anyone. Justifiably at times. IMO never gonna happen in the current climate. Clean house and start over we might have a chance.

lol. That's assuming it is a missile. Even in those regards I saw a breakdown of the Moab 11.9 Kiloton bomb. It weighs 180,000lbs and is huge. The smallest nuke they showed is the Davy Crocket. It is 15 kilotons and weighs 76 lbs. It doesn't take a mathematician to know that a suitcase nuke cant be far away if it doesn't already exist. My fear would be less a missile and more a suitcase. After seeing what Iran's proxies have been able to smuggle into other countries including ours it wouldn't take much imagination to get to a DC suitcase nuke especially if borders and drug smuggling routes are open. 2 kilos of coke makes its way to NY. Surely a suitcase can.

Because they launder millions back to your elected officials from your tax dollars via foreign aid made into campaign donations. If your job requires being elected, then campaign funding is your first priority. Working for Israel's millions instead of TheTone's $20 is how they stay employed.

Just saw one of Israel's saying their next target is Turkey.
