I've met a couple dudes who were like that about racks with the prizing and storytelling. The difference was they lived where you could kill so many legally that it wasn't notable. If you remove that game warden to where they were, he'd be the one known as the weirdo.

The USA is a big country. People within it are often very different.

I have hunted when and where people deer hunted ever day over a months long season with essentially no limit on how many bucks you could kill. I'm sure that sounds crazy to many people, but it was the norm then and there.

The warden would have assumed a perversion where there was none, indicating the genesis of the perverse ideas were only within him.

An obvious example is taking offense to topless women when discovering cultures where women have always gone topless; probably due to climate. The pervert is the male in America getting beside himself to National Geographic; not the women.
