Tough Muledeer Hunt ND 2011

Well after many miles and the glassing of many bucks the season is over. Not quite the results we hoped for but we still ended up with a couple bucks. Ive killed quite of few good whitetails over the years but man its hard to find a perfect muley. Just when you think you found a shooter hes missing a fork or missing a front or crab clawed. I passsed on the buck my buddy ended up shooting and then had another good deer in a draw with 7 bucks and then shot the wrong one. Well thats hunting.

Ya it was a total rookie mistake. Bucks were rutting hard and running everywhere and I didn't take my time to make sure it was him. The other buck was wide and heavy like mine but he had really nice fronts and bigger back forks. After a long season the buck fever got the best of me.

When I did that hunt, I shot the right one - the only one, and he was nothing like either of those. A very fun hunt, for sure. Congrats to you guys.
