chain the front and dont be afraid to use low gear. when you start up hill dont stop for anything just keep grinding it out. the real challenge is going down hill. I just got back from Colorado 3rd rifle hunt and the weather was in the low 60 everyday. If the ruts are getting real deep stay on the high side. It can get hairy sometimes but it also makes for some great storys when you get back home. if it makes any sence be cautiously aggressive.
 
All newer Toyotas are a PITA when it come to chains. You can stick your hand behind the tire usually and pretty much feel the lack of clearance. I put wheel spacers on my truck for this problem but then I never got around to purchasing chains that fit yet.

Thanks. I guess this really is a case of "they don't make em like they used to".
