The official 2025 Wyoming elk hunt for Dave N thread.

May as well give an update. Since I don't have a primary care doctor, I have to find one that is accepting new patients. The gal my wife had is very nice and we both liked her. The first open appointment available is mid-September. That's not going to work. There's no way in hell I'm going to miss this trip if something is found and I have to have something done. Pretty much the same story with other doctors. I've been eating healthier and trying to exercise as much as I can. I decided to just hold off on doctors until after my hunt. I don't want to hear otherwise from any of you. It's my choice, and this wouldn't even be an issue if I hadn't said something before. Any tests would need to be ordered by a doctor and you can't go into the ER or a clinic and say "I wonder if something is going on". I'll be fine, I already know that if I get overworked I'll just stop and rest for a bit. I'm not going to miss a flight or anything. I'll keep riding my bike and spending time on the elliptical. Wish I could get a little shooting in but I'll get a chance once the crops get out of the field here.

That's about all I've got. Gear is set. Items needed yet are set to be borrowed so that's done. Rifle is dialed in pretty good for an Illinois deer hunter! ;) Still deciding on food to bring. Looks like we'll at least be having a fish fry thanks to @BuzzH and our trip to Alaska! Been a while but I'll make a big batch of cookies for the sweet pile.

Again, I don't want to hear any "you need to" type of comments about health. It is what it is and being aware ahead of time I can set my own limitations. If I croak on the mountain I'll be doing something that made me happy! Not worried about it. Let's just settle in on having a fun trip and trying to FINALLY get me an elk!

You better not croak on the hunt, at least until you get that big bull. Joking of course, but not about the bull. Have a safe hunt and good time with friends.

For sure not saying this to you Dave, so you can stop reading here………

but for anyone else there is a ready solution to not getting an appointment easily. Minor emergency centers (very profitable, based on how many of these are these days) allow for walk up appointments. Some hopefully knowledgeable mid level provider will see new patients who feel like something is out of sorts, and if necessary get those referrals started if something important is found in the screening process. Or they can tell you that all is well, go have a great adventure.

Please schedule an appointment for when you return. Godspeed on your elk quest. We are rooting for you.

I'll be in the general area you are hunting for archery North of kemmerer. If I dont tag one with a bow, I'll be back with a rifle and would be honored to help you pack out an elk if needed. Just keep healthy at your own rate. You do you and focus on working up that endurance!
I'm doing the rifle tag. Thanks for the offer and good luck on your hunt!

On January 1st, I discovered that I had fallen victim to a fraudulent international shipping investment that cost me a staggering AU$10,000,000. As the owner of a shipping company based in Australia, I had been diligently searching for ways to expand and strengthen our business.
When I came across an enticing opportunity that promised high returns through international shipping ventures, it seemed like the perfect move to accelerate our growth.
After what I thought was thorough research and careful consideration, I decided to invest a significant amount of money.
At first, everything appeared legitimate. The shipping company seemed professional, and I was regularly updated with reports that reassured me the investment was progressing as planned. However, over time, I started noticing discrepancies. Payments were delayed, communication became sporadic, and red flags began to pop up in the details of the transactions. Something didn’t feel right, and before long, the truth hit me hard—I had been scammed.
The company I had trusted was a fraudulent operation, never intending to deliver on their promises.
The financial loss was devastating, but the emotional toll was even worse. Not only had I lost a large sum of money, but I also faced the daunting reality of how this would affect my business, employees, and reputation. I felt completely helpless and unsure of how to recover from such a blow.
That’s when I found TRACE HACKER'S CRYPTO RECOVERY . From the very first interaction, their team demonstrated an incredible level of expertise and professionalism.

Poor feller.

Is summer over yet? Sprayed weeds this morning and damn it was hot! Noon was 91 and 75% humidity. Went to the neighbor's place for some sweet corn and now it's just me and the elliptical in the AC.
It was snowing in the mountains above Banff yesterday. Highs in the high 50’s, lows in the low 40’s the whole time we were there. I guess they call that summer 🤷‍♂️.
