Definitely one of my favorite birds since I was a kid. Seems like I've seen more than usual this year.

Used to do around 150 acres of it as my side gig. I should've had my head examined. Sure did enjoy it when I was younger. Kids would like me to come out of retirement. I'd rather take them fishing. Lol

It was a great day when the kids moved from hay to gasoline. We'd load an entire block on a flatbed 1 ton truck and 2 axle trailer.

Back when you were 13, I was 16 pitching bales for extra money. Usually 90 degrees with awful humidity, biting flies, itchy, scratchy. Drank Miller High Life at the end of the day. Thought you might appreciate that @mtmuley

Yep. Spot on. My buds Grandmother brought us salt pills and lots of water. My buds Uncle that had the ranch went to round bales after we were gone. He couldn't find help that could stack hay much less want to. I miss it. Great memories and her breakfasts were off the charts. mtmuley
