1st up saw some speed goats


Always enjoy a first hike in new country

Saw some does 2 mule deer and 1 WT doe , she walked passed me around 120 yds out no clue I was there , got a pic of one mule doe , the other mule doe had 2 spotted fawns in tow , cute to watch ….

Almost stepped on a toad , cool little critter , anyone know what kind this is ?

Highlight of the day was creeping around in some grassy thick pine stuff walked up on 2 WT bucks bedded @ 78 yds , the old man still got the sneaks



Didn’t see any elk on this hike today but I did see a clue or 2 there around, can’t hide these signs


Ended up seeing 6 bulls on the drive home on private in the same general area. So ended up checking all the boxes today after all …. Yee Yee

Wife booked some last minute tickets to Forrest Frank concert in Raleigh. Left work early and took the two oldest, when I got in the area I realized bass pro was right there so I stopped by first to buy some rain pants for my Father's Day gift. Today has been great with only 2.5 hours of sleep, didn't get home until 0200.
