Yep, started on the ocean and then went up the river a couple miles and then turned around and back down to the ocean.

My wife and I did the same three years back. Paddled upriver to a trailhead you could walk to a waterfall.

I did that one too, Wailua river. This one with the bison on it does not have a hike off it but ends in a wildlife refuge. Hanalei river.

Did you do any jumping at Queens Bath?( i think that is what it was called).

A day early but oh well. Me and the wife took the kids to one of my favorite hidden lakes in the Wichita mountains. Had a picnic of lunchables and sandwiches. Great day!
