My daughter has an elderly couple for a regular monthly customer. They usually get a 6" cake for their dessert. She knows them quite well as they have been steady customers for years. They are outdoor people.
My daughter has a new very young decorator that is learning the business and likes to experiment with new designs and ideas. This is what they came up with for their monthly cake. Everything is edible except the tree trunk as it's chocolate dipped pipe cleaners. It is both of the couples birthday this month.

Yep, started on the ocean and then went up the river a couple miles and then turned around and back down to the ocean.

My wife and I did the same three years back. Paddled upriver to a trailhead you could walk to a waterfall.

I did that one too, Wailua river. This one with the bison on it does not have a hike off it but ends in a wildlife refuge. Hanalei river.

Sounds cool. We had one day to paddle.

Did you do any jumping at Queens Bath?( i think that is what it was called).
That was fun for kids and one Dad.

Haha it was closed because of the storm system when we were there.

A day early but oh well. Me and the wife took the kids to one of my favorite hidden lakes in the Wichita mountains. Had a picnic of lunchables and sandwiches. Great day!
