Has anyone heard of this? I got it as an E-mail. Sez we will have to delare our weapons on our 1040 tax returns this year, pay a tax on them, or go to jail.

SCAM!!! It's been going around ever since Obama was elected. I already did my taxes this year and there in NOTHING about any sort of guns or ammunition or anything else on there

The one I got said it was Snopes tested and gave info to check it out. It's supposed to be on the 2010 tax forms. I think I'll sell all mine before the years over... Go buy me a crossbow or something...

Sounds like BS to me...however you already pay a hidden "excise tax" of 15% on all firearms and ammo. I call rape.

Actually the tax rate is 11%...and is called the Pittman-Robertson act...it funds wildlife conservation and also hunters ed....

I call it a good deal.

BuzzH-I hate the tax. I say ax some lame government positions elsewhere and fund wildlife conservation and hunters ed with the money that was wasted on their useless postions.

I'm all worked up because it is tax season and it just doesn't sit well...

If you buy an AR lower and an AR upper separately and slap them together to make a rifle you save the 11% tax.

Not a huge deal to me. I have paid the NFA $200 tax on other stuff
