For any of us who are non-residents, we have one chance to hunt elk in North Dakota. It's a Governor's Statewide Permit. This year, it is being issued via a raffle, by Pheasants Forever.

North Dakota has a special allocation lottery, where non-profits can apply for a select few big game tags (Special Allocation Lottery | North Dakota Game and Fish).
This year, the ND Pheasants Forever team drew an elk tag that we’re able to use as a fundraiser. As a conservation organization, 100% of the proceeds will be going into conservation in North Dakota!
We’re selling 1,000 tickets at $100 a piece, so we’re raising $100,000 for North Dakota habitat. We can then take these funds and leverage them with additional grant funding to stretch each dollar as far as possible. It’s a really exciting opportunity!
This is open to both residents and non-residents. This is the only chance a nonresident would have at a ND elk tag.
We have to follow state gambling laws, so we can only take payment through the mail or in person.
