I want to hear all pros and cons and if I could do it agains. I've got one in mind but it's is SPENDY. I dont want to do another topper. I love em but only at certain times. Just not as practical for me anymore.

I bought the Fastop tonneau with the intention of adding on the soft topper for sleeping in the truck bed. I think I'm gonna just stick with the tonneau though. I've had it for 2 years with no issue.

I’ve had the roll-up canvas type - less secure and doesn’t look as clean but pretty handy overall. I’ve had a tri-fold - looked really nice and more secure but wasn’t easily removable (removing in itself wasn’t terrible, but reinstalling required a lot of little tweaks to align everything every time) and when it was folded up it blocked the back window. Probably wouldn’t recommend that. I think my favorite option is the hard retractable ones, as long as you don’t haul dirt bikes in the bed - the cassette gets in the way of the tire reaching the front of the bed.

I've had a couple soft roll-ups on F150s and now a hard trifold on my Ranger. I like the trifold better. Solid, strong, secure. Not going to slash it and steal what's inside. My last roll-up eventually got holes in it on its own from rubbing on the support rods. No matter how well you stretched it after having it open it would always flop around in the wind and make some noise. The only bad thing about the trifold so far is when fully open the sections stand up against the back window and your rear view mirror is useless.

I have a trifold. Came with the truck when I bought it. It's secure and solid, I can stand on it with no problem. It doesn't seal as tight as I'd like but it's decent. Definitely a heavy bugger to remove by myself. Biggest downside, even when folded back still 1/3 of the bed is covered.

Buddy got that techonic I think last year. He hates that he spent the money because the latches are all breaking from them being cheap quality plastic. He is using it as a work truck and it gets it abuse im sure but I think id like it better if it was all aluminum construction

That is good to know. Lifetime warranty?

That looks cool but too many things to go bad IMO. Pricey! Probably well over twice what you could find elsewhere.
