If you cannot afford care, you still get it, medical providers literally CAN'T turn you away. That's why our ER's are overflowing. Because you can get healthcare. Homeless people without a penny still receive care every day. Where is this coming from?Much of that is because so many cannot pay for care in this country.
I'd argue, stop giving people care who don't need it. I get "free" checkups but even my doc recommended I stop coming until I turn 45 or have symptoms. Spend 30 sec chatting with any big city first responder and you'll get an entirely different side as to why everything for us who can actually afford to pay, costs so damn much.
