Looking for a recommendation for a guided Cat hunt. This is for a good friend of mine /mentor/hunting partner. He has been on 3 unsuccessful hunts so far and I would like to change that. He is willing to book a flight and fly out ASAP when conditions are right and thats really the way he would prefer to hunt. I feel like he has been scammed in the past. Any recommendations?

I’d give Scott a call and see what his bookings look like.

Looks good. He is a NR in Mt and will be applying for the NR houndsmen permit regardless. Thanks for the info.

Needle Rock Outfitters in CO have been fantastic conservation supporters, and our hunters who have gone with them have had great success. I have no personal experience with them. Worth putting on your list.

Something else to think about would be contacting cat taxidermists to see where their customer base is coming from. In my area, that's Big Cat Taxidermy. Another fantastic conservation supporter.

Thanks guys, keep em coming. The NR mt permit is hard to draw but he is applying. I appreciate any feedback and recommendations

Idaho hates cats. Tags are OTC. Open 365 days a year. First NR tag is $204 with extra tags at $41 in certain areas.

Google in Idaho and you’ll find a bunch of guides with dogs. There are lions everywhere.

Boulder Creek in Idaho has a couple of darn good houndsmen. They hunt out of a ranch in Whitebird. Hells Canyon is pretty country to run cats in!! PM me for the guys number.
