You all have heard about the Hunting Princess a bit the last couple of years but not much about the boy. Well, he has been away at college, Indiana University, for the last 4 years and this weekend was the culmination of that effort. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs with a certificate in International Business. The boy is bright well beyond my input for sure.

Since I was still an Indiana resident when he started and had my VA disability rating the state of Indiana picked up his tuition but through his hard work he also secured the University President's Scholarship which picked up his room and board. To go along with that he picked up some additional scholarships from various Special Forces Association programs. So he graduated with no debt and just a little in the bank.

After 4 years worth of business, public affairs, Japanese and German classes he graduated with a 3.699/4.0 GPA (just missing cum laude) with that case load and some other personal struggles that would have sank most men. 2 weeks ago he found out that he was accepted to the prestigious Kelley School of Business graduate program in Information Systems.

The whole family was there (mama, I , HP, Grandma, Grandpa, Sister in law and nieces and nephews) and it was a great weekend. Love being home anytime but this was surely special.

There are some extraneous pics of White Castle and the Heidelberg House Cafe in Indy. Best German bakery on this side of the Atlantic!!

Congrats from another SPEA guy!

We were up there Saturday also just running errands, had to go to three restaurants before we found one we could squeeze into. Lots of people in town! Hope you stayed dry.

The ceremony was damp for sure but it also made them shorten it :) We stayed in Nashville and ate there too. The wife also has an MPA from SPEA.......I'm the black sheep with my JD :) Now if we can only convince HP that Cream and Crimson are the colors for her too!!!

Hey that's Great news! I was sitting in that rain this weekend too. My Niece graduated from Kelley Business School with her Bachelor's so we were all huddled under IU ponchos on Saturday. I stayed in Nashville too. Small world.

Pretty awesome! Grats to your young man and grats to the two of you proud parents! 3.7 and working through the curve balls life throws... Pretty awesome!

May he continue to grow in wisdom and character, and be a blessing to you all your days. Congratulations

SFC and others, thank you for your wisdom, patience, guidance, persistence, financial investment and much more. Mission accomplished! Congratulations on behalf of all those who will benefit from the world your children will shape.

I'll be the first to admit that with my time away Mama did a LOT of the heavy lifting with the kids. Add to that the fact that both of the kids are simply better little humans than deserve to be associated with me. I have never regretted the sacrifices that parenthood involves......everyone has been worth it!!!
