Pickup of the Future?

That’s a challenge with many modern 4x4’s, electric or not. Most don’t have enough clearance, especially on the rear wheels.
Trade offs. No way the off road fossil fueled truck for mountain travel is ever replaced by an EV. Just not gonna happen. mtmuley

How are you guys feeling about EV-pickups? Sure, this thread is only 6 years old, but I'm not seeing that much is different. I don't personally have a use for one.

‘29 f150 will be gas powering a generator, no batteries, 700 mile range, steering and brakes fly by wire. If all that comes to fruition it’ll be my next truck.

Ran across this the other day. Looks to be in early stage development but might be the basic 4x4 pickup that a lot of folks are looking for. Limited specs but 4 cyl., 4x4, body on frame, 6 spd manual available, estimated price $21,500 for the 2 door pickup(probably $25K+ by the time they start delivery in '28-'29). Extended cab model and suv also available on the same platform. Competing with the Maverick, Slate EV and Ford Fathom EV. A no dealership model like Tesla.
