That’s a challenge with many modern 4x4’s, electric or not. Most don’t have enough clearance, especially on the rear wheels.

Trade offs. No way the off road fossil fueled truck for mountain travel is ever replaced by an EV. Just not gonna happen. mtmuley

‘29 f150 will be gas powering a generator, no batteries, 700 mile range, steering and brakes fly by wire. If all that comes to fruition it’ll be my next truck.

Limited specs but 4 cyl., 4x4, body on frame, 6 spd manual available, estimated price $21,500 for the 2 door pickup(probably $25K+ by the time they start delivery in '28-'29). Extended cab model and suv also available on the same platform. Competing with the Maverick, Slate EV and Ford Fathom EV. A no dealership model like Tesla.

It will be interesting to see if they actually make it to market. A lot of NTSB and EPA hoops to jump thru.
I don't recall seeing anything about warranty. I did see where they would be the parts supplier and were looking for partners for aftermarket parts and accessories.

Before I bought my 150 I would have loved to have had a small truck, 8 ft bed, simple 4x4 (I could have even done without the extra cab). I bought what I did because it was the only way to get what I wanted. My problem with all trucks in the 1/2 and smaller market now is the tiny beds. We have a reservation on the Slate for mama for a runaround.....as the plant is only a few miles from the house and it will suit her. This lil dude looks interesting for sure, but with a lil bed it is almost an oversized sxs.

Exactly. I would at least want to see a picture of it. Damn thing may come out looking like those new Ford Mavericks.

Gotta be careful with ones that promote “fully refundable deposit” as well. I know Tesla treated those deposits as unsecured loans and thus could use the money as working capital. It was refundable - unless they went bankrupt - in which case you got in line behind all of their other creditors to get your money back.
