No more brick and mortar license sales?

Yea the whole comment section on Facebook lit them up for this. I can see both sides but have a hard time thinking wardens are on a witch hunt today being Sunday. Still seems like a very solvable problem by just allowing license sales to begin last week sometime OR a grace period of a week to renew this week.
I know the Wardens and the Captain in R2 pretty well. I bet they aren't concerned. mtmuley

True I'm sure there won't be any tickets written unless it's an attitude ticket LOL. Just frustrating they don't sell a little early to help work with the public. The entire process reeks of piss poor planning.

And I cannot think of any other license or membership etc. where you have to wait for your current to expire to purchase a second one AND are considered illegal during the interim. Drivers license, concealed carry, car registration etc. all have grace periods and ability to renew before.

The online version is no cupcake . I just applied for bg combo and elk and deer permits , more questions every year for donations to this and that and then do I want to donate to block management and blah blah . Takes a PHD to fill out apps anymore . $1,578 for a bg combo with pp and bonus points .
You gotta question that price point for value.

Seems the “new” system is merely self service access to the same FWP site we’d access from home. Retailer has to setup new computer system to basically allow you to do it online from the retail location. Progress.

Sad to see old traditions fade away.
Yeah, I really miss the "good old days"...

$1578 to hunt antlered animals for 6 weeks with a bow and/or 5 weeks with any caliber rifle or crossbow and/or 10 days with muzzleloader plus an additional ~12 weeks to hunt antlerless elk in a handful of units has to be one of the best values out there in terms of cost per days of hunting!

That’s true but for a nonresident that is going to hopefully spend less than a week here I’m spending my money in a better state. I guess I value quality of hunt and older age class animals though. To each their own.

I do actually. Sending a paper check. I was good buying at the vendor. This totally electronic shit I'm not a fan of. mtmuley
Do you write checks for fuel and groceries?

The things people worry about is mind numbing. I can tell you a story about how great paper tags are from last season that got myself a written warning. Going E-tags to avoid that mess.

What NR can swing that ? Being gone that long ? Not many . You have a point . There’s a lot of options for sure . That’s probably part of the attraction and why tag will be in high demand even with high price

Sometimes, not always. All my utilities and mortgage are paper check. I can't write a check to Amazon though. mtmuley
I see, so you're "that guy" that slows everything down scribbling a check.

I bet I don't write 5 checks a year and usually all for the same things each year, tags aren't one of them.

Hey Buzz. None of your business how I pay my bills or other purchases. I think your buddies on Monster Muleys political thread are looking for you. Thanks for the "advice" though. mtmuley
