I have a Nevada Nonresident, any legal weapon, Antlered Mule Deer tag, Unit 241 - 245, October 5 - October 31.

Hunting late part of the tag with a guide and holding out for something special.

Good luck this week to all resident and nonresident applicants in the Nevada draw. I hope a few Hunttalkers hit some nice tags. Very long odds but worth the effort.

2026 Applications were processed this afternoon. I assume they will spend tomorrow verifying the data. Friday seems like it will be the announcement day.

FYI, there will be a second draw next month because there was a little over 1,500 tags that were not drawn.

Probably a lot of the primitive junior tags and archery deer tags.

There were roughly 1,100 - 1,200 leftover last year. Almost 800 were resident junior mule deer. Besides that, ~300 mule deer and ~100 pronghorn, mostly archery.

I’m seeing 509,784 applicants

Then the party applications of 31k.

Subtract the 343 from 509, and you get 166k.

So average party size for party applications of 5.34.

Plus all the individual apps

My son, brother and I always apply individually. I don't know if this give us a better chance of at least one of us drawing a tag of some kind as opposed to a party app.
In any case even if only one us draws a tag we're all going hunting.

I used to call buying lottery tickets a tax for stupid people. I think we can add applying for tags in Nevada as a tax for stupid people.

I payed my taxes.

I think it definitely does. I just got engaged this weekend, so i'm almost positive i'll draw an elk tag.

I know results won't be released till tomorrow, but every time I get a notice from my credit card about a purchase for which my card may not have been present, I immediately think that maybe NDOW decided to roll out the results today. Then I see it's an online purchase or gas station or Costco. Worst was the CO Parks "receipt" that came in this morning for a Point.

My odds are so low that I feel nothing at all.

My application strategy was "go big or go home" thanks to lucky draws elsewhere. I expect nothing. I'll either get what I expect, or be pleasantly surprised. Not bad either way!

Similar situation here. I don’t really have time to go to Nevada but if I draw anything I put in for I will make the time.

I am actually getting to the point that I have a reasonable chance to draw my 3rd or 4th choice mule deer tag. I'm up to 15 points for deer and elk. I probably should start getting a little more serious about it when applying.

There's really no way that I draw, but that's pretty much what I said for New Mexico and I'm sitting here with 2 tags in my pocket for NM, so maybe it's my lucky year...
