Montana general big game combo?

When you apply for this tag as a nonresident do you have to put in for a unit you want to hunt or can you hunt different units? We are looking at hunting in the elk park area on some private land. I also have a friend in Laurel who has some land. Thanks.

You only need to apply for a specific unit if it is a limited entry permit unit. Your combo will allow you to hunt all the general non draw areas. mtmuley

General means it's good for general units. So check the units you want to hunt and make sure it's not a limited entry unit. If it's a unit around laurel I'm betting that your general tag is only good for cows and spikes as most of those units are special draw for bulls. Some of the park areas is also special draw for part of the season

The units will be 318 or 350 depending on where the property is we have to hunt in elk park area. And unit 500 by Laurel.
