Midwest storms

Some nasty storms rippin through from Minnesota to southern illinois. Hopefully all of you are ok!?

We had a confirmed funnel cloud to the south of us about 10 miles but it broke up over our house and came back together over the river.

Power went out briefly and the sirens went off in town. TV is out so I can't follow the news about the storm. Sure is noisy outside!

TV back! Rotation near my daughter's house. They're in the basement and my granddaughter is playing drummer with dad's wrenches. Lots of tornadoes or warnings around the area.

We have had storms everdays this week. Luckily we have avoided the big hail. The had 3” hail to the west of us Yesterday.

Coming home from work looking to the west.


About 10 minutes later at the bus stop. I pulled my truck door to door with the bus.

Its been missing me to the north. Raining but not to hard. Looks like quincy got hammered. Phone was going crazy with tornado w arnings

Think we're good now. Still raining and lots of lightning and house rattling thunder. Multiple tornadoes in the area now off to my east. Should be an interesting day tomorrow for the news reports.

Yeah, they said half the town was out of power. First reports of over 100 power poles down in the storm. Bloomington had a MEASURED gust of 85MPH.

My daughter in Wisconsin said they are under tornado and flash flood warnings.

It was in the 70s today After the storms went through it was in the 40s in about 30 minutes. The wind got cold.

I talked to him earlier. They were in the basement but all was ok and he did not think he had any damage.

There was a tornado about 20 miles north of us today and another about 60 miles to the east. Just wind and rain for us, thankfully
