Just saw MI out of Doors posted a short on the NRC removing the southern gun restriction line.

Will be interesting to see the new regulations when they come out.

Glad this finally made it thru. No reason a rifle shouldn’t be used down here on some of these big farm fields. Especially since we are already stretching big bores out to 250-300 yards.

CFR larger than .22. Good call. It has worked well here in IN.......NO increase in accidents or damage and I would wager that recoveries are up. OBR is a good thing too, although I do NOT get leaving out the UP. With the state of the herd up there? I think "earn a buck" would be a good move for the LP. get herd ratios better.

If this keeps you downstate weirdos out of Northern Michigan, I'm all for it.

Just hope yins can shoot a real rifle.

I'm all for the one buck rule. We need does harvested. Not barely legal bucks.

"...but if I leave the big bucks alone, and only kill the little ones, think of how big the big ones will be next year!!" 🤔 😉

Looks like i wont need to buy a 400 legend or a 41 great lakes, and I will have to go shopping for an adult sized .243 stock instead. My wife will fail to see how this is a net savings.

I’m going to come up there and ground pound grouse, just because I’m a weirdo now.

Lemme know when, I'll show you some heavily pounded GEMS. ;)

To be honest, I'm kind of tempted to get a 350 or 400 Legend for a suppressed set up. Or a 300 blackout. I had not heard of the 41 Great Lakes.

I think these are some great changes. I like the one buck rule because it allows people who really want to get a second buck to go hunt the upper peninsula. It seems like a great way to increase doe harvest down south while simultaneously bringing people back up over the bridge for deer camp again, hopefully.

I just hope you guys don’t do it like Minnesota did when we got rid of our shotgun zone. They let individual counties pass shotgun only ordinances and unfortunately a lot of county commissioner fuds opted to pass these ordinances.
