While coming back from workcamp in Montana I had the pleasure of meeting my first HUNTTALKER..... "JCS" (Jim). Let me tell you... I could not have met a nicer guy. Fun and easy to shoot the bull with. Thanks for taking the time to visit, Jim.

Met MontanahunterJon last Deer season. My wife never fully understood how I could trust someone that I'd never met someone in person and had only talked with through this site and over the phone. Against her wishes I still went with him on his special permit Mule Deer hunt and had an awesome time. Gained a hunting friend for life and we both helped each other on the hunt. There are many forums out there but I've always felt that the Hunt Talk has more of a community feel that discusses topics that truly affect our world.

Met 2 fellow Hunttalkers from Alaska during our trips there in the last couple of years. Both Sheepman and Bambistew were more than willing to take some time to meet us and discuss Alaska and other things. Bambistew gave me lots of insight and valuable info on living, hunting, fishing, and things overall. Great guy, and full of useful knowledge I can use while looking for our retirement home there. Sheepman invited us into his AWESOME home and we spent quite a few hours talking. Our wives had a common interest and hit it off as well. The conversation lasted so long that they invited us out for dinner and refused to let me buy for such a nice time we had. There was even an offer of moose and fish to take home! Both guys were just as nice as could be. I've met a couple other guys from a few other sites, and my very best friend from Idaho started out as a guy giving me a couple pointers for an elk hunt I was going on. Forum posts led to emails, then phone calls, then an invite to actually meet and do some hunting. Don't know where I would be now if we wouldn't have met online. Gotta love forums like this where folks can chat with each other and have the possibility of meeting one another if they desire. It was said before, but thanks for running the joint, Randy!

Another interesting way to meet a Hunt Talker:

I was at our local archery range a few weeks ago and started talking with a young man that was flinging arrows in preparation for an upcoming hunt. After several minutes of discussion I asked him if he participated in any hunting forums thinking I'd get a plug in for Hunt Talk, but his reply was "Hunt Talk". Turns out I got to meet BlakeA in person and he lives in the same area that I do. We fling arrow on occasion if we happen to be at the range on the same night.

Funny how most people meet other people on a forum before meeting them in person, this was the complete opposite!
