Any elaborate plans? We're laying low this weekend & biking to Eureka Springs, Arkansas for the blues fest next Thursday.

Be safe HT'ers.

Going to the cabin and repairing the snow damage to the roof, hanging a very early tree stand (won't have a chance to get back there B4 early archery season) and trail cam, and scaring a few trout into coming over for dinner.

Out of here in about an hour...back Monday night late, all you HTalkers have fun and be safe out on the roads!

Laying low and then going to the Memorial Day services on Monday. Memorial Day is a pretty big deal in our family.

Have fun and be safe, everyone.

Damn... had plans but the wife just walked in with a fever and the pukes. Got it from the kid. I guess I am sitting around the house.

Had a traditional trip to my favorite camping spot. Well the weather killed that thing.

Will lay low, attend a Veterans Memorial, then have a bunch of people over for good food and fun.

Nemont

I got wrangled into buying a Wii. I guess I will park my fat arse in front of the tube and let the kids beat my sorry butt at all these Nintendo games. Oh, and work on Monday. Fun, Fun!

Going south to do my temple work......I mean visit the Eccles Dinosaur park in Salt Lake. My 6 year old loves dinosaurs. Then to the aquarium in Sandy. I figured as many Utards head to Idaho on memorial day we should have the place to ourselves.

Absolutely nothing for a change....

Well... er... that is if the wife hasn't figured some project that needs finishing... :)

Had a storage unit delivered today to my Mom's house. We'll be loading it up with all the stuff from the garage tomorrow (Sat) so they can pick it back up and store it off-site while the driveway and garage slab are replaced and the house foundation repaired.

At least it won't be hot tomorrow.

Shoot Del, that sucks... :(

I forgot (silly me), fishing season starts today, in about half an hour, I'm out of here, high water or not... :)

You boys just enjoy your day, my turn to be fisherwoosie (PS I'll try and catch a couple gay bass for you Del).... :D

Well.. Tonight I"m watching UFC with the boys. BBQing up Elk steaks . If anyone is in the area and like UFC, lemme know. We are actually going to a buddies house and settign up my stadium seating. The wimmin folk are coming to my house to watc ha chicky flick. Lifes goooooood :)

Tomorrow goniog to a Carrie Underwood concert. Perks of the new bizz getting litle thing like that :D :D

Then in between gunna find out how to do yard work with one hand.

Had the Seven yr olds Bday party today. work tomorrow then a little fishing and a BBQ with some friends over on Monday. Reminds me I have to get Ole Glory up.

I had planned to spend the whole weekend shooting my bow, drinking beer and watching hunting videos while the wife and kid are at the coast.
Yea, right.
Friday morning my cell rings, my 89 year old mom took a bad fall. Off to the emergency room. Dislocated disk and 2 broken ribs. I spent ten hours sitting with her Friday, chasing down doctors to get her some morphine. Last night they decided to admit her, so I was back most of the day today. Guess what I’ll be doing tomorrow.
I know, it’s payback for being so crappy when I was a kid.

Took the kids fishing today at a nearby lake. Non-stop bobber and worm action in a cold drizzle for 10-18 inch rainbows. I was a frenzy of untangling lines, unhooking fish and coaching. Great fun! Finally the kids got too cold so went into the truck to warm up.

I switched over to a gnarly 4 inch spoon with hopes of hooking into my first pike. Large fish are rumoured to live there. 3rd or 4th cast, retrieve got heavy. I set the hook and got slow heavy headshakes in response. Fish on! Big fish. Holy crap the thing rolled and though I'd hooked into an alligator. Played it for maybe 30 seconds or so and broke my line. Toothy critter sliced right through the 6 pound test. I'd guess the fish to be between 5 and 10 pounds. Hadn't felt that kind of fish since moving here.

We left the lake cold, wet and with silly grins on everyones faces.

Rest of Saturday we're building a gazebo.

Sunday will be church and we'll visit the vet cemetary since all kin is 900 miles away.

Monday we hope to put the roof on the gazebo and shingle it.
