Larry Norman was a pretty accessible guy. He could be seen randomly anywhere from SF to LA. I met Larry on the street in Santa Cruz once. We talked for 20-30 minutes. I was about 16-17. I was too young then to understand our heroes get far too human after we get a little life experience ourselves.
