It was prolific..from ‘73

Toy Caldwell… enlists with the Marines, gets wounded in Vietnam (and then goes back for more), then comes home and does that. Legend.

I remember hearing that song in high school and going to buy a Marshall Tucker greatest hits cd. I couldn’t wait to get home and give it a listen. Turns out that’s really the only song of theirs that is anything like that one.

Nick Drake is timeless. I feel like his songs sound like something that could be on the radio today.
So true. I first heard him in the 70's, been a favorite since then. He's finally getting the attention he deserves. I put him right at the top of the finest singer/songwriters of that era, including Dylan. Gone far too young...
