Yep, another good program doged. I utilized AmeriCorp and MCC on some projects in the past, great program that provided lots of skills to at risk American young adults in exchange for money used for education.

Can't be having any of that nonsense anymore.

Getting rid of Americorps and Job Corps are two of the stupidest decisions I've seen so far, and that's saying something considering all the stupid decisions we've seen.

Work still stopped on the NM 32 bridge job. FS,state,county,private lands.

Noticed work on fiber optic lines has also stopped. Headed to private and tribal lands.

If the fiber optic was part of the Obama rural connectivity program, that has been modified so that everyone has to use Musk's spacex satellites. Far more expensive for the government, and for the end user with one tenth of the longevity and less reliability. But it lines Elon's pockets.

Had Starlink for three years. Excellent product - in all those years it never once went down. I’d recommend it to anyone.

They laid fiber in my neighborhood last year. Half the price for faster Internet. Not sure how much of that is subsidy, but dumped Starlink.

Had starlink for 2 years then the router died. No customer service. Took 14 months to get rid of the bill. No way fraud dept. could connect with starlink.
No remedy,could not even buy a new system. They can't find my address now.
Fiber optic is 5 miles away and not coming soon.

It doesn’t matter, the common man can’t afford to be giving his hard earned dollars to a pretentious oligarch billionaire that is just going to turn around and leverage your money against you. Call them and tell them you are canceling your Internet and going with a different provider. All of a sudden they will conjure up a cheaper rate.

I've tried this 2 times. They don't budge. The only issue is that they're the only provider around me too...

Yea, that's tough. Tell them you are switching to Starlink, see what they say.

I've tried it with Spectrum a couple times and they fold like a cheap lawn chair. I also live where there are multiple carriers, I imagine that makes a big difference

Starlink has never treated me as poorly as dish, direct tv, centurylink, and charter.

As long as the reliability (still on my oiriginal router and dish) is great - ill never give those coax cowboys another dollar.
