Now they say you don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off an 'ole Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with IB.

Dang Fellas sorry it took so long to get going but like Moosie said I got back home way to late or should I say early Sunday morning (5:00am). We went through snow storm after snow storm to make it in time to get a little bit of shut eye before the wife and kid got home from Colorado. Having been gone through the holiday I don't think the wifey thought it was a good idea to spend a few hours on the computer.

I have posted some pics already but will start somewhere in the middle. I'll let the pics do the talking and add a few captions here and there.

We saw a lot of deer on this hunt. The problem was finding the big bucks. This unit has by far the biggest 2 points, 2x3's, 3 points and 3x4's that I have ever seen. I only videoed and took pics of a hand full of them. The oldest, biggest buck we saw on this whole trip was a monster 2 point. He was 28+" wide with 20" G2's and 25" mains. Heavy bladed points and a buck I would have been looking for on the last day. Any other place and he would have been in big trouble. I caught a glimpse of him from a mile away and knew I needed to get a better look. We snuck within 60 yards of him and his does but unfortunelty never gave me a chance to get a pic of him. Here are a few of the bucks I was able to take pics of. Some are crappy video still images.

A couple 2 points.

This is the first buck I saw on the day I shot my buck. It was just getting light and I caught a glimpse of him chasing does. I was way excited until I got the spotter on him. Just a huge 2x3. I couldn't believe it. Crappy pics but you can tell he was tall.

Here is a big ol' 3x4 with a 22+" G2 on his 3 point side. The tine went up and hooked on the top.

More bucks.

The last pic was a 180" class buck we saw on day 5. This was probably only one of 3 bucks that we saw that I thought would go in the 180's.

Here comes the heavy snow. Stan and I decided to take a hike in the upper part of the unit. It was snowing hard but we didn't care. Visibility was low with snow and gusts upto 45 mph. At one point we were in a burn and trees were falling all around us. It was the coolest and spookiest thing either of us had been in. We could here the gusts of winding blowing up the canyon. It sounded like a domino of trees falling down as it got closer to us. We watched 5 trees fall beside us within 100 yards. I'm talking big trees, 100+" tall trees.
