I started doing that years ago plus outfitters numbers. Not perfect but it does provide some reduction in anxiety. Hunting at home is bit different but at 76 I have certain places I hunt that I write down on wipe board exactly where I will be. My son and friends I hunt with know these spots. I do check in frequently via text. Sometimes you just have to be aware your wife worries more as you age. It's not a loss of freedom IMO, just being considerate of your wife and being self aware as you ageIf I don't check in, my wife would be calling the game Warden to request a check of my last known whereabouts. No such calls have been needed so far but she wont let me leave for a western hunt without the name and phone number of the Warden that covers the area that I plan to hunt. Thank you, LEOs, and hope to not bother you.
