Is your mall crawler ready to go?

Anybody have thoughts on the D load range ko3's (265/70r/16)? Read through shangobango's thread from a few years ago and was all set on coopers until I found out they don't make a 10 ply tire in that size anymore. These will be going on a 3rd gen tacoma, I had ko2's on my silverado and loved them for the first ~25k miles then they went downhill fast, so I'm a bit wary of them but the ko3's supposedly last longer
@Potsie was not a fan.

Could always go 265/75/16 which would probably open up the tire options quite a bit.

I had much better life out of the KO2. My last set (KO3) had this happen to 2 of them.

Both just let go on the interstate. I know it’s a small sample size, just me, but I’ll never buy BFG again.

Ouch. I haven't used a BFG tire since the original Mud Terrain was discontinued. Schwab had a great tire in the TXR. Discontinued. Off to ST Maxx I went. mtmuley

I had a 1971 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 I used them on. Never should have sold that truck. 350, 4 speed, 205 case and Detroit locker. Those tires and that truck would go anywhere it would fit. Miss it. mtmuley
Had them in 33×11.5 on my 94 full size bronco with a 351 Windsor in the mid 2000s. That thing would go anywhere at like 8mpg.

My mech buddy drove my Tacoma to his shop and will get alignment done and brakes checked fully. New aftermarket headlamps.
Tune if needed, but it just hums along.
3 years now on Cooper sst maxx pros...lots of tread left and an excellent dirt road tire. Noisy on hwy, but I'm 16 mile from pavement.

We'll switch out with the F-150 when done and it will get the interior short solved....finally.
Any thing else checked out completely, brakes, tune, etc...but it runs fine.
Those Cooper st maxx tires have 3+ years and wearing like a dream. Quiet compared to the Maxx pros.

Happy camper with 2 old trucks!
