I wrestled the last skid plate into place this evening and bolted everything up on my Tundra.

Changed about every fluid front to back as part of my preventative maintenance schedule. Shocks are new a couple of months ago. Brakes should be good for another year.

New tires coming in early October, and we're ready to roll. I racked up 26k on my truck last year. It was fun, but I also want to get all I can out of this thing.

That's a lot of miles in a year. I put about that on my gov truck and personal COMBINED last year and made 4 trips to Montana, 3 more than usual due to sheep and moose tags.

In fairness, since our youngest moved out and we don’t have a dog sitter, our pickup is our go to.

Two trips to Utah, one to SW Wyoming, and multiple trips to MT this spring and summer alone.

I need to do an oil change in the next week or so. Maybe new tires to come, I definitely need to at minimum get a slow leak in one of them fixed. I have to add air to it at least once a week.

Same

Y'all need to get busy with those rookie numbers. The brand new '25 Subaru Crosstrek that I picked up the middle of last October just went over 29,000 on the way home today from a grouse scouting trip. To be fair, it gets an even 500 a week just back & forth to work.
I'll get the 5th tire rotation and 6th oil change done within the next two weeks. Upcoming trips are a short 700 miles round trip dove hunting to southern Indiana then a trip for dusky grouse to Colorado before October.
Hopefully a couple of weekend trips to the eastern UP in October with one extended trip to western UP the end of October.

I'm expecting to start brake replacement by spring.

New shocks and a winch going on the rubicon this week.

Seems dumb putting new shocks on a ‘23 with 25k miles but the extreme recon OEM shocks are trash.

4.8 Liters of Freedom just turned 280K last week. The check engine lights been on for 120,000 miles. Allegedly, someone left last year's snow tires on her this summer because they're broke. This fall I'll point her to the mountains and prairies and say a prayer, turn the music up to ignore the sounds and roll the windows down to ignore the smells, and see what happens.

Saturday changed the PS pump, alternator, and belt on my old "new" truck. The alternator was a smaller one and seemed weak (voltage) so i just did it while i was there, belt too.

Probably should deal with the shocks but ill just send it until spring i think at this point.

You cant beat gmt400 and gmt800 for reliability and simplicity imo - i wouldnt be at all suprised if you get another 100k out of the engine.

The first part of hunting season may be out of the rental this year if this shop doesn’t rectify the rectal cranial inversion that’ a got going on.
Me too. My truck is stuck at the dealership waiting for a back ordered part. They took the battery out of my truck because they thought it would be 3 months or longer.

For those going with new shocks, what was the decision making point? I’ve never done them, sitting at about 105k.
