Is your mall crawler ready to go?

At least it happened before season started, but I heard a noise coming from the front and the dang hub bearing was going out, then while under there, I checked the ball joints and sure enough, loose, along with both tie rod ends...so I tore it apart and replacing all of the junk with new junk and hopefully get an alignment done next week.

Got my tacoma new in June of 23 and sitting at just over 58,000 now. Just finished a 2800 mile round-trip to kill a NV speed goat and still love this truck. Every ding, dent, and scratch has a story to tell.

New tires is the only thing on the list before our next out of state hunts in Nov for a NM deer hunt.
I love my ‘21. It’s gone everywhere I needed it to in NV. Trying to make it last as long as possible with the switch to the hybrid. I might trust that engine in the future, but no reason to doubt the 3.5.

I'll knock on wood, but I've found that almost all of the stock components on my Tundra are sufficient for my uses. Except for the Skid plate, which was replaced after I destroyed it, with an RCI (way nicer for changing the oil). I was also warping front rotors like crazy until I realized my back calipers were seized, fixed those, and we seem to be braking much better. Redid the suspension last year with bilstien 5100 series, but haven't loved them, not nearly as smooth as the OEM.

It sounds like the K03's have lost people's interest...why?

this is my last summer with those and will be looking for replacements in the spring.

not posturing myself as an expert. but offroad shocks shouldn't really be categorized as smooth, i'd argue.

my 5100s are nonetheless much better than the the original ranchos that came on the titan.

i'm probably ready for an upgrade though.

i also need a new front skid plate.... but on the flip side, it was pretty cool to see that thing do it's job perfectly, and also not cool.

I, too, am far from an expert, but what exactly has your 5100 shocks allowed you to do that the orig ones didn't?

The only benny I've seen is a small lift, which is nice. The ride is quite stiff, and considering that most of my time in that truck is either driving across a couple of states, or pounding along on washboarded gravel. I wish I had gone with a softer ride.

It was between those and Falken Wildpeak. Went with Falken because of lower price, better warranty and plenty of good reviews. 1,500 highway miles, and some decent off-roading in eastern NV have left a good impression.

I haven’t used the K03, but they’re not as aggressive as I’d like, and they still have a pretty shallow tread depth, which I also didn’t like about the K02. I’ve tried K02s and they’re okay, but the Falken Wildpeaks and Cooper ST Maxx both run circles around them in deeper snow.

I have a 2021 Chevy Trail Boss. It has the factory 2.5in lift, Rancho shocks, and what I would call a squishy suspension.

Leave on 10/13 from Indiana for a 2500 mile round trip to chase elk. Pulling a 5000lb trailer the whole time as well.

Not wanting to deal with the squat, I am installing a set of blue Sumo Springs before we leave. Would love feedback on those if any of you have experience.

interesting, snow was where I thought my k03 excelled the most, but I agree the tread depth as always been too shallow. Thanks for the recs, I'll look into them.

the stock ones on my truck did not absorb, that's for sure, and were old. i really only upgraded for the levelling without a levelling kit.

i do, also, generally fall in the category that you really don't need much fancy stuff to accomplish 99% of your tasks. good clearance is probably among my highest priorities; which the pro4x does not lack in, at all.
