And so it happens again. Just got off the phone with one of our guys who was going to help brother and I set up camp on Friday the 8th. "I won't be able to come up until 9th and have to be home on that Monday. My wife doesn't want me to be gone that long." Other guy who really wanted to get his son onto a deer is now bringing son's friend. The boys will be driving up by themselves on the 9th, but have to be back to town for football practice on Monday and now he is waffling. Another won't be up now until late opening morning for deer because he forgot about a surprise birthday party he needs to attend.

Brother and I are saying WTF!? Plans were been made months ago, menus planned, hunt areas planned, everybody saying, "Oh ya that sounds great, bla, bla!" Let me see, who sets up camp, tears it down almost every year by themselves?

I just get so damned frustrated when you can't count on people any more. Sorry about the rant.

One dependable hunt partner is a luxury....more than one is usually a miracle.

Amen brother, went to New Mexico by myself after people bailed out in the last hour of the last day to put in after for the drews, I already submitted mine! Good luck!!

Priorities dude.... Some people have them, others don't ;)

To be honest I bailed on IDBUGLER this year in our hunts, but I told him upfront in the year. I was so broke I couldn't pay attention, and had "0" days vacation. Next year will be back in the saddle again !!!

There is a guy I hunt with sometimes that you could never count on. Even if he was in the truck with you heading out sometimes he would bail last min. We just planned everything without him and when he showed or could make it we had a Great hunt with a LOAD of fun, and if he didn't show, we planned it like that anyways. Sounds like you need to do the same.

Wanna talk Hunting over a Carls Jr Burger tomorrow ?

You didn't bail on me. I think that's part of being a great hunting partner. Being honest from the beginning. I knew your situation so I planned around it. You never left me hanging.

Part of it was we never drew any of the 5 tags that we applied for so that helped a little. :D

YAh, I still feel bad... When I have a year I can't really go we don't draw. Have you noticed that ? Next year I'm planning on hitting it big, Hope your ready :D :D

IDNative... see you @ 11:45 !

Ummmm. I hope not. I'm going to be pretty busy around the end of January until maybe 16 years after.

I just had a gut bomb with your good friend. Contrary to what you have said, he is really a nice guy....... As you know good friends are hard to come by.

Geez, I am lucky to make it out for one week a year. You guys? That is another story all together from what I heard! Damn!

I learned a long time ago... Don't invite other people unless you plan to do everything yourself. Seems like most people think you're taking them on a fully outfitted hunt. :)

Gotta say, I approve of your new hunting partner. You still doin' everything yourself?:D

I know my house is busy and will be for 30 years. It doesn't stop at 16 or 18 for that gender... :p
