Haters gonna hate!

The fair share would be 10%, everybody pays ten percent. Np loop holes, no deductions no filings no nuthin'. 10%, I don't care who you are, what corporation you are, 10%. And without a corrupt administration as we have now it would work. No deficet, No loans from third world countries. I dunno but 10% would be one hell of a tax cut for me, but would also be fair for the 1% as we would all be paying the same percentage wise. Just my PO'ed thought! How did this come to this anyway!

Did someone say taxes.

I like webejmn's idea 10 % no matter what. I don't care if you choose to have 10 kids you pay the same as me. Fair is fair

Thank You Elk, It is fair is fair, They say "Oh but the rich are paying X amount of the taxes.. what they don't tell you is the percentage they pay compared to the percentage we pay is much less! Yes they pay most of the tax base but they also have most of the income base and then with loop holes and deductions... whaddya thunk! 10% No gifts, do not pass go and no tax deadline.

By the way I love Homedale. Used to live in Mtn Home. Miss it, to a point. Both kids live in Boise. Betcha can't tell I get a little tweaked on this subject? HahahaGROWL!

There's a difference between the "rich" and the uber wealthy. Those that are "rich" earn their money through a W2 or 1099. In short there isn't much one can do for "loopholes". The uber wealthy earn most of the money through investment, intered t and other passive income. They have far more options for strategic tax planning.

My guess is that real wages have declined over the years. It seems that wage increases lag inflation. On top of that when peoples incomes increase they move to higher tax rates yet their real wage rates flat line or decrease leaving us with less disposable income. Yikes!
I wonder what your real tax rate is when you add in gas tax, excise taxes, license taxes, property tax, registration tax, phone tax, that part of supply chain related taxes that consumers bare, income tax, Internet tax, power tax, ........

Well even the "uber wealthy" would benifit. Instead of 15% they would pay 10%? GE would actually have to pay!! Oh my, GET RID OF LOOPHOLES! No deductions, NO NOTHING. 10% Everybody, Buisness, Corp, LLC, or otherwise. Take Obama out and the rest of the do nothing politicians and bring back our steelworkers/'plants, stop giving money and equipment to countries that would just assume to burn our flag, and make the President pay for his golfing trip with Woods, and his wifes vacations out of their pockets. Do we have a vacation plan deemed by government? Unless a trip to the sand is a vacation? We and I mean every swingin" blank and every lovely spouse have a duty to make this change!!! We are AMERICANS, Stand up and show them we won't stand for this any longer. I was going to say I'm sorry to let this get to this...But ya know... I AM NOT SORRY!!, to stand up and say what I believe! Look where this got me, but I believe, I am correct and I will fight. Geeze see where I've gone with this? I will stand, I will fight.
Nice pics Elkmagnet, sorry I just ruined your thread. My best to you and yours.....Joe

Because they show a loss through loopholes, You think they would be the conglomerate they are today without making money? Are you kidding? GE a loss corporation? Wake up!

And LLC's I was an LLC at one time. It just made it so my LLC had to pay me a wage and I wasn't responsible for the company issues, although I was the company!

I'm plenty awake, the tax code pays for my guns and hunting trips. The GE reference everyone makes is related to GE utilizing the losses of GE Capital during the crash of 2008.

Most hear headlines and parrot them but few can discuss the details of the code...even many experts.

I got some lovely news yesterday. Since my wife is out of school and into a better paying career we get to pay and extra 10% in taxes this year. Yippee for doing better for ourselves!!!!

huntRme, is that my fair share? It wouldn't surprise me if my increase wasn't wasn't about 2/3 of your total tax burden.

One of Mitt Romney's campaign promises was to get the government out of the land business. If he had won you would see those signs replaced with something less inviting. I would hate to see closed signs go up on our public areas because the Republicans in Congress won't allow taxing the rich their fair share. And, I'd hate to be laid off of my Forest Service job because the budget is dried up for the same reason.

Spoken like a true left-wing hypocrite. Punish someone more for being successful. All demoncrats should be taxed more, since that seems to be their answer to everything.

Yup.

I always think it's funny when people advocate for a flat everybody pays X% income tax. When people are in my office spouting off like that I try inform them that even though they are in the a higher federal bracket their effective rate is often, in fact, already lower than the percentage they want to pay. I've even had a few retort, "That can't be right, that's not what Rush says."

I always get a kick out of watching people ask the successful to pay more.I'm not one of them that's for sure but they should pay more then anyone else for being driven and successful.Don't penalize a man for taking a smart path thru life just because you thought dropping out of high school or whatever was a good idea.Myself, I'm sick of all the handouts in this country and esp. outside our country.I don't believe in cash assistance what so ever.If you want cash from the taxpayers then clean our parks, streets and anything else we may need maintained. You need housing, make it like military barracks not some nice 2-3 bedroom place with private bath.Make it uncomfortable to be a drain on society instead of thinking of ways to get more money from the successful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice sign

Good pics. I count myself as fortunate to live in the U.S. and in the west where we have public lands.

See any sheep?
