Can't remember if I've posted this one or not:

1888 Commission Rifle, commercially made by C.G. Haenel in Suhl, Germany sometime before WWI. Cailber is 8x57J. This model was designed for Mouflon & Chamois hunters seeking a powerful, light rifle for hiking around the Alps.

That is a beauty Ben, me likey!

With the conceal carry post I thought I would go that direction with my 1911 and S&W 66-2.

I just a full sized 1911 guy for carry because it is my comfort zone for confidence. Sometimes the S&W 66-2 will ride along or my Browning high power.

Love that 66! My two biggest regrets in selling guns were the 66-6 4 inch & the Glock 23.

My Dad bought this in the mid to late 70's. He never fired it and gave it to me when I graduated High School. It's a Browning BAR in 30-06 with an engraved antelope on one side and an elk on the other. I've always debated on what to do with it. Now my son is 11 and I'm still debating and it still has never been fired. I will surely pass it on set up or not. sorry I don't have fancy pictures

Nice BAR, I remember that scroll work and what a great graduation present. Someone last week I think got an A5 for High school graduation and now I'm a little pissed because I got a suitcase.

Happy New Year
