On my way home from my Nodak deer hunt I stopped at a friends place on the Powder River to look for a buck and turned this guy up:D
Last time I shot a Whitey this big was 32 years ago in the Long pines.

Sorry no field pics:(: either my self timer quit working or I forgot how to work it:eek: couldn't get it to work and the it was just muddy enough that I couldn't drive to him and had to bone him in the field.

Nice buck and the mule deer in the back ground looks good too.

That is one you shoot without asking any questions. I love that mass and the big four-point frame. Congrats.

Thanks for the comments, I am very happy with him. Here is the NoDak Muley.

The bad part is that you know the next season can't be as good as this years, but you never know.

Hunted the Powder for three days, tried everything in my book rattling/grunting.Tried sniping from bluffs and sitting in the Cottonwoods.Simply no deer,.....on my side of the river....but on the other side were 60 head all casual and laid back.Turns out that ranch is outfitted/leased by some shmuck from Bozangelos. So blah, blah, I couldn't bring myself to shoot a dink.Nice buck, i wouldn't have hesitated.
