I have hunted geese in wheat fields, barely fields, pea fields, chick pea fields, lentil fields, corn fields, soybean fields but on Sunday a first for me in plain old alfalfa field.

I guess they like alfalfa.

Season is winding down quick. Ducks ended for us on the 8th. We are currently closed for geese until next Saturday and then it opens back up for a 5 days and then it is a wrap.

We used to hunt a field just outside of Hysham that was alfalfa, and had an irrigation ditch that ran through it. Holy Crap that thing drew geese in late season! I miss it so much. I haven't hunted geese since I moved to the Flathead. Congrats on the hunt, they are a blast; literally!

Nice goose hunt for sure. Good to see you getting a few during these final days of the season.
I hope to get out for ducks during the final week coming up.

Glad to hear that! Your kids and grandkids will appreciate that. I need to get better at my record keeping...
