Is that your only heat source brockel? Most people i know even with newer homes burn at least 2 tanks in the winter. Our house is 60 some years old

Thankful I contracted my propane already for $1.49 iirc.
Man. I gave up on my propane company I had for a long time when I had a fill 3 or 4 years ago in the fall at $6.70 or so per gallon.

Took almost a year to get to the new company. Last fill was $3.09.

Likely will be closer to 4 at the next fill.

Our budget pay rate right now with our usage of about 25 gallons month is $85. Propane range and water heater.

Furnace is kept at 55 or 60. Thats our (cough) "primary" source of heat.

We burn 1.5 cords of juniper for a year for (cough) "secondary" heat. That costs us about $75 in fuel to get.

View attachment 417106maybe I was missing some things in my equation. Also sorry to fully derail this thread @rogerthat.
10 year lifespan is the sad part of those calculations. 10 years old and 150,000 is just getting broken in… If I don’t get 250,000 out of my truck I’ll be disappointed. It’s a possibility I’ll have to go to a 3/4 ton at some point though.

Of course that’s not factoring in the rust you guys have to deal with. We’re fortunate out here.
