I would love to see him and all other advocates of the "starve FWP" movement promoted by Gary Marbut (now "legislative candidate" Marbut), to follow Mr. Kornec's lead. Please, stay out of the woods and off the rivers until your conscience allows you to return. We will all be better off as a result of your convictions.

I think there is some validity to the discontent, however it is a little misdirected.

The FWP needs to get their heads screwed on straight and start managing our game better. These trophy lion units need to go. I don't think we can have great hunting for every animal in the woods. The deer and elk numbers are finally showing the results of the "we can have great hunting for everything" management policy, and deer and elk hunters are starting to get pissed. It might be misdirected, but its valid.

Belly, I don't agree with you 100% There are things they can do, and should have done.

I think we can have great elk, deer, and moose hunting, with good predator hunting.If you keep the ungulate numbers up close to range capacity then control the preds to a line. It's a new consept, I'd like to call "MANAGEMENT"

We caused this mess, not so much the predators. It's easy to blame them when we had 5 antelope tags, 2 elk tags with either sex seasons that lasted into January, up to 11 deer tags with depredation hunts through february. Hunters never seem willing to take responsibility for their actions. When we had lots of tags, I never heard one ounce of bitching. Well except for a letter to the editor in the Ravalli Republic by Tjones in 2003 or 4 predicting this catastrophe..

Just like the tools on Monster Muleys that always say their going to boycott Colorado because of such and such fee's or whatever

Are there any states that manage thier Game for the hunters? It seems they forget what a huge amount of $$ hunting generates.

Yes. Everyone participate. Even if you just held off on buying your licenses until the second or third week of rifle season they would get the messasge.:hump:

Hunters, ranchers, outfitters, sportsmen groups, wolf advocates, Dept of Livestock, Montana Stockgrowers, USFWS, Montana LEGISLATURE, and many others work diligently to hamstring the FWP by pushing their own particular interests politically, then continuously criticize FWP for all problems related to wildlife. If ya think hurting the agency fiscally is the answer or that it will result in changes going your way ... then you must be one of those with a green marrygeewawna card and must be smokin the stuff.

I contend the most effective way to cause the changes is through helping FWP formulate the best policies for hunting and for wildlife, along with working to thwart the political and legislative efforts to hamstring FWP.
