Silverado was a good movie. Too scripted to be great, but had a great cast of actors. Brian Dennehy was always the best bad cop. Scott Glenn didn't talk much, but didn't need to either.

That movie was great beginning to end. Blew away the John Wayne version ... which was pretty hard to do.

The story goes that Wayne kidded Dern on the set about how his career would be over for killing him. Dern's reply was "they will love me at Berkeley."

Do you like McGuane’s writing? I’ve never been able to get into it. I like Missouri River Breaks and Rancho Deluxe though.

Also heard him on a couple podcasts and really enjoyed listening to him.
