You are seeing our push on Hunt Talk to create strategic partnerships with companies whose audience and services are compliments to our audience, both web and TV. As part of that, you see the ads for Extreme Elk Magazine starting to rotate around the site.

In addition to being a partner on HuntTalk, you will see Extreme Elk have some presence in our TV show. You will also see in the release above that they have asked me to write a column in each edition of the magazine. As you would expect, it will be about the self-guided public land elk hunting experience. Their announcement is at the link below.

Corey and Dirk have been regulars on this site for years. If you see them posting about their magazine, or you notice links in their signature lines (only allowed for approved partners), it is all part of our effort to collaborate on efforts that target the same audience. With that, welcome the good folks at Extreme Elk magazine. If you are not already a subscriber, you should be. Here is the link. http://extremeelkmagazine.com/

And if you have some cool elk hunting stories and pics, submit them to the magazine. There have been a few Hunt Talkers featured in that magazine, even gracing the cover on occassion.

Met Corey at the Hunting Expo in SLC. Great guy with a great attitude. He presented on elk calling and I wish I had it recorded. Seems like a natural partnership for sure.

.......'cause your not busy enough already..........congratulations to you and the publication.

I picked one up a few months ago at the gas station when I saw you were in it and have to say I really enjoyed it and purchased it again since. I thought it was cool to see a lot of younger guys in there hunting DIY all over the west. Stories were fun in that many were written by regular hunters like us detailing the good, the bad, and the ugly of elk hunting.

I'll go ahead and get the visa out...

I have had very good luck with the gear I see on this site, and what I see used on Fresh Tracks / OYOA. Definitely the Good Housekeeping seal of approval.

Congrats Randy! I'll apologize for suggesting your name when they were asking for suggestions.

Glad to see you'll be spreading the public land DIY message to an even larger audience. I'll have to make sure my subscription is renewed.

Already get the magazine, and its my favorite to get in the mail.Too bad they only have so few issues each year.I'd love to get this monthly

Already enjoy this great magazine. I look forward to each issue.
Congrats on a great pair-up.

The Bugle and Extreme Elk are the only hunting mags I get now.
I wish there was a comparable mag for Mule deer............

This GREAT magazine, is growing and getting better. Kudos to Extreme Elk for asking people what they'd like and willing to make the adaption to these desires.

Congrats to all involved and I look forward to my next issue...for many years to come!

I didn't realize it was DIY focused.. judging from the covers, I thought it was all just antler porn. Will have to check it out.

I am already a subscriber. Nice magazine. I am planning on submitting the story of how I shot my big bull in the fall of 2015. Just one thing left to do.....:p

Overall I like the magazine but some issues are almost all stories and don't have hardly any good how-to articles or similar helpful stuff. Hopefully Randy can help out in that department.
