So I am about to buy a new auto loader and have the chance to buy an Escort Extreme Mag. pretty cheap, but I am worried about durability. Does anyone have any insight on this shotgun?

I want to have the option to shoot 3.5" shells. I think I might go with the Stoeger m3500. I want something that can be beat upon until I'm out of school and can upgrade.

Usually you end up getting what u pay for. Cheap does not usually mean good.

You'll regret spending money on the Stoeger, and that warranty won't do you a bit of good when it craps out during the middle of the season and it takes 3 months to get fixed.

If you just want a cheap beater, just buy an 870 or a Nova. It'll be cheaper and a lot more reliable.

I have both a Nova and an 870, that is why I am looking for a cheap autoloader. I went back to school after getting out of the military and have a couple of years left. After I am out I plan on buying an SBE2, but not until I'm out.

I've had good luck with the Escort that I have. It did give me a little trouble last year, but it was also 30 below zero and we were floating a river. All kinds of things malfunction in those conditions.

I have a couple of the Franchi Affinitys and they have been great. I would be willing to bet the Intensity would be just as good.

I personally wouldn't spend the money on the Escort or the Stoeger.
