Nothing humbles me more than a big stupid collared dove floating in to the dove field after shooting at mourning doves all evening.

But they eat just fine. Other than size, the meat was indistinguishable between them.

I've never seen these birds out in the desert around the waterholes where we hunt. I only see them in town and they are very skittish so I assume they get shot at a lot in town.
