Donations to RMEF: tax deductible?

Not as long as you received no goods or services in exchange for your gift.

Edit: I have had business accountants call up and ask for a "donation receipt for Mr. Johnson's donation of $500 on March X of this year," and I had to explain that Mr. Johnson purchased raffle tickets and that's not the way it works.

Games of chance are not tax deductible LOL

What you can do, is if you buy a fancy RMEF gun for, say, $3500, and the base model is $1500, you can deduct $2000, or so says my accountant and he is very conservative.

Accountants, chime in if you disagree.

So you can't claim donations to goodwill if you don't get anything in return?
