His name is Redd. He supervises just fine and chases squirrels, hares, ptarmigan, grouse, moose, voles, bees, flies and blue jays. He’s not worth the food bill as a hunter but his love for me is unconditional.

Where and what were you hunting, and what gauge is that skinny shotgun?

Took my daughter on her first duck hunt for the youth season a couple of weeks back. She's not quite comfortable with a 20 gauge, so she was popping off shots with the little single-shot .410. We were hunting in Southwest Montana in a small high-mountain lake/pond.

We didn’t hurt the bird population yesterday, but had fun.
