Went to the cardiologist the other day. She told me the do’s and dont’s.

Do’s:
Heart healthy diet
Moderate exercise
And so on…..

Don’t do’s:

Don’t shoot high powered rifles
Don’t shoot a now over 45 lbs….

I think I need a new cardiologist!

He must be anti gun because what in the hell does shooting a gun and heart health have anything to do with each other? Maybe thr adreline rush of shooting a huge buck?

I'd say you need to do a little more exploring and find out the why's and how she came to those conclusions. I don't know how familiar she is with guns or what type of heart issues you have, but a 416 Rigby and other big bore rifles do have significant recoil and 'shock power.' I've never been a fan of muzzle brakes, but a brake or a suppressor does a lot to tame recoil and that sudden shock wave. I definitely agree hunting is great physical and mental therapy, you'll find a way to stay out there hunting!

That is common advice for patients who have had multiple bypass. The rifle aspect anyway.
