I would trade any and all hunts for the rest of my life to have another chance to hunt a desert ram.

Just wondering if any of you have taken one, or if any one you are applying for a tag, and what would make a desert ram hunt so special for you

At my age (late 30’s) and late to the points game I don’t even bother with sheep. Unless it was through a raffle or maybe a dall (even those are getting out of reach now) I don’t think I’ll ever get to hunt one. This is also not me complaining, it’s just a math problem.

The closest I’ll probably get to hunting desert sheep would be booking an aoudad hunt. You hunt a lot of the same country and often may get an opportunity to see desert sheep.

Interesting. If applying for other species anyway, sheep is not a costly add on in many states. Most states have opoortunity to draw with no of low points accrual. I.e., Colorado buy three years of opoints are yuo can stop and still be in the draw annually for Rocky, or in draw with zero points for desert. Pony up for a few years and a guy in his 30’s can have 40+ years of draw attempt wherre yoiu ‘could’ draw. And this is just for Colo Rockies. I think what you maybe meant is you could care less about hunting sheep-which is fine.
