I called mine in Wed Morning around 8:30am, he came in silent after gobbling his head off for an hour and darn near caught me slippin. . .came in behind me at about 10 ft. I kept hearing sticks snap and stuff behind me and assumed it was a deer or a trespasser and had looked around the tree I was leaned against 2-3 times and didn't see a thing. . .the next noise was very close so I turned my head and bam he was right there. He walked by me and procedded to flog the crap out of my jake deke so I hammered him. He was the second heaviest bird I've killed to date ( at the same tree) 27lbs, 11 in beard and over inch long spurs. I called in 2 nice toms for my best friend on Thursday morning and he hammered one of them. . .been a good week here in Indiana. We are heading to Kansas on Tuesday evening, hope the birds out there cooperate as well.

Good job RUT JUNKEY. Pack your long undies gloves, and jackets as the highs drop to the 50's and lows on the 30's this week.
